Could you imagine a futuristic, sleek underwater train that brought you from the UAE to the coasts of the Indian city of Mumbai in just about a couple hours?

Well, guess what – The future is very near! The UAE based company – National Advisor Bureau Limited is working on the concept of a well-equipped underwater railway network that would connect Mumbai to Fujairah, covering a considerable distance in very little time. Even though just a concept for now, this project is quite an exciting chance at a unique way of traveling! Multicolored, culturally rich and hip – Mumbai is a great city to be connected to for an explorer. If you are ever on an underwater train to Mumbai, you absolutely must have an elaborate travel plan ready to go!

Elephanta Caves

The city of stars – Mumbai is quite the rollercoaster ride. From lavish, extravagant and modern activities to really down-to-earth and humbling experiences, the city will make you fall in love with life little by little. Take a bustling local train to the city’s 140-year-old open-air laundromat, the Dhobi Ghat and prepare for an eye-opening, touching experience on a Dharavi Slum tour. Treat yourself to a Bollywood tour around the sets of local films and television shows, walk along Chor Bazaar looking through ethnic jewellery and indie décor; if you appreciate art, make time for the Kala Ghoda Heritage Walk and sit down at a popular food joint to have an authentic Indian meal to satisfy your soul.

Just on an island nearby are the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – Ancient rock cut sculptures of Hindu and Buddhist gods and ideologies waiting to be explored. And for a relaxing evening take a rickshaw to the scenic Marine Drive for a spectacular pink sunset by the sea, as you sip on some strong chai in a warm paper cup.

Ellora Caves, Aurangabad

There are several things to do in the outskirts of Mumbai as well – The adventure never ends! Take a trip to Aurangabad to see the enchanting Ajanta & Ellora Caves that date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE. Make your way to the Sula Vineyards in Nashik to take a tour of the winery, taste some their best wines and stay at the lovely vineyards. Explore the old, historic forts in the small city of Pune and have yourself a glorious time at Atmantan, a Wellness & Spa Resort near Pune.
