Walt Disney World: How We Do Epcot

Epcot is probably our favorite go-to park. It’s easy to get to, has a more relaxed vibe and has a lot of different things to do. One of my favorite rides in Disney World is here, Soarin, but we probably spend the most of our time in the World Showcase when we go. In this post I’ll talk about our favorite rides, food, and special events at Epcot. Again, this is how WE like to do Epcot. Feel free to use this as a guide, but Epcot is best enjoyed by exploring on your own and finding your own favorite things to do!

“If You Can Read This Thank The Phoenicians” – Spaceship Earth

Soarin is definitely my favorite ride in Epcot and one of my top favorite rides in all of Walt Disney World. You will probably want a fast pass for this one! It never gets old and is amazing every single time we ride it! John and I both really enjoy Spaceship Earth (the giant silver ball) and Living with the Land. Spaceship Earth is a classic and Living with the Land gives you a behind the scenes look at the greenhouses where Disney’s horticulturalists work. Test Track and Mission Space are also a lot of fun and have both recently had updates which made them even better. I’m really looking forward to all of the new rides coming to Epcot like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille.

“Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” – Hans Christian Andersen

The World Showcase is where I recommend spending the most time because there is so much to do and see there. We like to take our time exploring each showcase instead of just quickly walking around the circle. Our favorites (if we had to pick) are Canada, Japan, Germany and Mexico. In Canada we love to watch the O Canada! show. It’s actually what inspired us to plan our trip to Quebec City! Japan has a giant store full of all kinds of cool things. You can get your own kimono and pick a pearl from live oysters! In Germany we always stop at Karamell-Kuche for caramel popcorn. The grapefruit beer is delicious too and can be found at the outdoor beer cart. The inside of the pyramid in Mexico has a restaurant and the Grand Fiesta Tour ride. I like to look at all the merchandise in the marketplace too, especially the hand painted wood carvings!
