Note that the quad ride in Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is not included in the price, as the quad owners do not allow tour operators to pay on riders’ behalf. They accept only cash, upon arrival.
All participants are required to book travel insurance within 72 hours of booking this tour. At a minimum, such insurance must cover cancellations, medical expenses, evacuations, flight loss or delays and 24/7 assistance.
Your phone should have an attached string or wrist wrap which latches onto your belt while you are out in public (to deter pickpockets). Also, bring a lockable waterproof backpack (to bring onto the boat), a waterproof case for your identification card and credit cards (when swimming) and water shoes. Also, bring a mask and motorcycle goggles, to be used to block the dust while riding in the desert. Not least, bring an external charger for your phone. Electric outages in the Amazon are quite common. Lastly, you may need to bring adapters for your electronic devices.
