Every day we ask you to wear waterproof hiking shoes (never flipflops!) and warm clothes. Wool, fleece and synthetic clothing are ideal for this trip, as opposed to cotton. Cotton absorbs and retains moisture from the air and from your body, not least when trekking in the extremes of the country. Also, everyday bring a rainsuit (jacket and pants), headwear, a scarf and gloves. Iceland gets cold and rains a lot. On a different note, you may need to bring adapters for your electronic devices.
There's a good reason for why this is the most popular day tour in Iceland. Some of the main attractions are Þingvellir (our national park), Geysir (a frequently spouting hot spring) and Gullfoss (a very big, powerful and beautiful waterfall).
Iceland has a strong mythical tradition, with all sorts of elves, trolls, and other popular folkloric characters, not to mention 13 iterations of Santa. With this guided tour of Reykjavik, you'll go into the oldest part of town to learn all about these creatures and their stories.
