2 Day Toubkal Ascent trek
Day 1 : Marrakech – Imlil(1740m) – Mountain refuge (3207m)
Pick up from Marrakech (Hotel, Riad, Airport…) at 8:00 AM to Imlil (2hrs drive),after meeting our guide in Imlil center, we set off our trek along the Imlil Valley and then hike for 3 hours to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch which attracts tourists and pilgrims, Here we will have our lunch. Afterwards we continue for another 3 hours to Toubkal mountain refuge, where we will stay our night in dormitory style accommodation.
Approx. 6hrs walking.
Day 2: Toubkal refuge – Toubkal Summit (4167m) – Imlil – Marrakech
At early morning, we start our Jbel Toubkal climbing to enjoy the freshness of the morning. we turn on our head torch as the next 2 hours walk will be in dark, we cross the river above the refuge, then carry on walk up to reach the Toubkal Summit the highest peak in the North Africa. From here the view is truly breathtaking as we can see entire Toubkal massif and on clear day the siroua Massif, sahara and all the way to Marrakech. After taking some time to enjoy the views we can come down back to Imlil.
