DAY 1:

Welcome to the Dominican Republic!
Your tour starts with a meeting at 6 pm in the lobby of a lovely hotel called El Beaterio in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. If you would happen to arrive earlier, don't worry, you can check-in from 3 pm onwards. People that arrive even earlier can leave their luggage at the hotel reception. You will have some time to rest and get ready for your first dinner in a beautiful modern Dominican restaurant in the heart of the capital called "Jalao". After dinner, you have the option to go for drinks in the surrounding bars or to go back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest. It's up to you!

DAY 2:

Waking up in the Dominican Republic...
After a traditional Dominican breakfast, you will start the day with a walking tour in the Colonial Zone. You will get to see the oldest cathedral in the Americas. At noon, a beautiful restaurant will pamper you with delicious Dominican lunch in the old part of Santo Domingo, before heading into the heart of the country - Jarabacoa. The city traduces from Taino-Indian to 'Land of Water'. Along the way, you'll get to witness the beautiful landscape of the Dominican Republic. In the late afternoon, you arrive at the eco-friendly ranch, where you will spend the next two nights - Rancho Baiguate . You can take time to settle down and enjoy the breathtaking nature, the cozy ranch, and the pleasant temperatures of the city. When the sun sets, you will have dinner and a sociable and snug evening at the ranch.

DAY 3:

'Land of Water'
Waking up in the beautiful Rancho Baiguate , after having a hearty breakfast, you will be ready to have a good time and explore the nature. Today will be a full day in Jarabacoa. In the setting of this incredible mountain-range, there will be various options for the activities! You can go rafting or canyoning in the wild rivers, hiking up the mountains with a professional local guide, mountain biking, paragliding and horseback riding through one of the most beautiful sceneries in the Dominican Republic. We will surely help you discover a different and exciting side of the Caribbean! The activities today are optional, so you can decide if you want to have action, explore Jarabacoa or simply grap a book and relax.

DAY 4:

Sweet dreams...
You will leave the impressive city of Jarabacoa behind and head towards the north coast of the country. Before you arrive in the local fishing village Punta Rucia, you will have a sweet- and culture stop at San Francisco de Macoris. Embrace yourself for a chocolate-tour through an eco-friendly chocolate farm! Taste the freshest chocolate you have ever had, sow your own chocolate plant, visit the chocolate factory, learn about the how-to's of the chocolate world and finish the tour in the Chocolate-museum! When you are sweetened by the one of kind experience, the tour will continue to Paraiso Eco Lodge, which is located right at the beach. Time to relax... take a swim, walk at the beach and enjoy a delicious and well-deserved dinner, before going to dreamland with a head full of fresh memories.

DAY 5:

The fishing village of Punta Rucia
In the morning, you will take a boat to Cayo Arena, translated "Sand Island". It is a small island formed by a sandbank about two miles off shore. This area boasts some of the most abundant marine life in the DR. You can go snorkeling or just have a swim in the refreshing turquoise water. On the way back to Punta Rucia, the captain will pass through the impressive mangroves. Mangroves are plants that serve as natural breakwaters. After lunch, you will be able visit the endangered herbivores, the West Indian Manatees at the Estero Hondo Marine Mammal Sanctuary . The Sanctuary also doubles as a protected habitat for birds. Climb the lookout tower to spot the manatees and the birds of the park. Returning to the bus, you can help us with a small clean-up to support the Park-Rangers and take the trash with you to the garbage bin. In the afternoon you drive back to the lodge and have a cozy dinner.

DAY 6:

"Are you ready to jump?"
Today you will head direction Cabarete, a paradise for kite-surfer. The first stop is the 27 "charcos" or waterfalls of Damajagua. The most consecutive waterfalls in the Dominican Republic. You hike for about 40 minutes up the mountain and afterward descend through the waterfalls down. Some of the waterfalls are up to 40 feet tall ( 13 m ). There is a shorter tour available of only 7 waterfalls for those of you, who aren't able to do the big tour! Once you are down, you can enjoy a  fabulous Dominican buffet. Later the tour continues to Cabarete. Cabarete Eco Lodge will be your home for the next days. The rest of the afternoon is off to relax!

DAY 7:

Cabarete'te
On day 7 you have the possibility to enjoy a full day in Cabarete! Walk down the beach from our eco-lodge and head into the center of Cabarete, where you will come across some fancy shops, beach bars, kite-surf schools, and beach-side restaurants. Cabarete invites you to relax and enjoy the vibes of the Caribbean. Of course, you can also stay at the lodge and take a dipity dip in the pool. For those, who feel like exploring the surrounding nature, we recommend a tour to the national park "El Choco". Jungle, caves, and a small lagoon are waiting for you. In the evening you have the option to enjoy a delicious dinner together with the group at the beach. Afterward you can explore the night-life and go to the local bars, dance the night away on some Bachata and Merengue and have fun.

DAY 8:

I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again.
Today is the last day of your island adventure. Return home with some unforgettable memories. After breakfast, you will check-out and head back to Santo Domingo, where you will arrive around 13pm at the same hotel like the first day.
