Global Social Media Manager

We’re looking for an excellent human to join our Global Brand Team as a Social Media Manager for our Global social accounts.

What you’ll be doing

Social media and travel go together like ice cream and sunshine, but it can be a noisy world. You’ll be there (front and centre) to help us identify trends, future ambassadors and pain points for travellers. As Global Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for telling traveller stories in the most compelling way possible and be the voice of Skyscanner online. You’ll also be a part of a creative and enthusiastic Brand team that is determined to make Skyscanner a household name that the world trusts and loves.

What you’d be looking after

You’ll work closely with the wider Brand Marketing team to establish key stories that we want to tell.
You’ll keep an eye out for future ambassadors and influencers that love what we do whilst nurturing existing relationships online.

The content. You’ll become best friends with the creative team and you’ll bring our tone of voice to life through excellent words.

The channels. You’ll be the person that the travellers speaks to on the content you’ve created so you need to love a good blether as well as being able to listen to what they’re saying.

The reports. You’ll be comfortable showcasing results from campaigns and weekly updates to others within the company and be able to demonstrate the value of social with ease. On the side, you’ll also be keeping an eye on what our competitors are up to as well.

You’ll also be working closely with regional teams to support and provide expertise during campaign rollouts.
You’ll be our eyes when it comes to the world of social and you’ll be able to spot a trend that’s relevant for us to get involved in. 

What we need from you

Strong social media experience with a proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding goals across social platforms.

Experience of looking after communities for other brands through social channels and have an outstanding track record in your back pocket.

A creative mind that can effortlessly create short copy to get the message across whether you’re planning a campaign or telling a mind-blowing story.

Attention to detail. We know everyone makes mistakes, but when it comes to social, the details are pretty important. You’ll double check everything before it goes live and your time management/prioritisation skills are top notch.
