Feel the adrenaline boarding an active volcano! Climb a steep and ‘difficult to walk’ volcano of 500 meters high and descend it in less than 10 minutes!

Our guide picks you up at 7 a.m at the lobby of the centrally located hotel in Managua or Granada. The tour starts passing from town to town admiring the beautiful Nicaraguan landscapes as agricultural plantations, lakes, volcanoes, small towns. Once in León, the transfer includes 45 minutes on a dirt road; from the road, you see the black volcano rising, until you reach the volcano.

Get ready to start the hike as you take your sand-boarding equipment (board and backpack). The hike might take from 35 minutes to 1 hour depending on your fitness level. Once at the top, walk to see the two craters and feel the heat coming from them. Also, take time to admire the natural beauty of Nicaragua with its volcanic chain. Take perfect photos from here.
The moment arrived, listen carefully to the guide explaining the instructions to sandboard the active volcano and descend it in less than 10 minutes! Also, you may descend it walking down its slopes.

Depart to León, a colonial city of Nicaragua to take lunch at your own expense as you see the colonial architecture and largest Cathedral of Central America.
Transfer back to your hotel at 2 p.m
