Hello: Since my childhood I have wanted to visit Japan, it was my most desired destination and finally I could make it come true with my partner. I live in Catalonia very close to Barcelona and I suggest a small correction about the use of Catalan in Barcelona, the most spoken language is Spanish and does not reach 20% of those who speak Catalan in Barcelona, in the rest of Catalonia, it is something superior but never exceeding 30%. As for English, if it is true that only speaks about 30%, but in a very limited way. As for the meals I recommend trying the typical "tapas", they are small portions of food and are usually shared among the diners, it is a good experience to know different dishes at a good price, that is, as you comment outside the more "touristic" zones.
