Who would ever say no to a long weekend?! 100% not me and London is always calling me back. I've been a number of times over the years and visited amazing places such as Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Harry Potter Studio Tour, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle, Tower of London, London Dungeons, a ghost tour and West End shows including Witness of the Prosecution, Six the musical and Matilda the musical. So why would I go back again? Simply, I still need to do so much more, to name just a few examples - London Zoo, The British Museum, St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Britain and theatre shows such as & Juliet and Hamilton. I think I will be there for more than one weekend! Eek
The last few times we've stayed in Paddington area and really love the vibe of the area and I always felt safe walking around from middle of the day to 2pm at night. Another plus is Paddington has great tube links (Elizabeth, Bakerloo, Circle and District line) connecting me to most popular places to visit in London without too much thinking time! My latest stay in London was over New Years Eve (2022/2023) and we stayed at Mitre House Hotel, for three nights and only a 2 minute walk from Paddington station. FYI if you ever need a place to stay in London I would recommend Mitre House Hotel as it has the loveliest front of house staff! Plus location and price are added bonus points for the hotel too!
I'll be back,
