Idaho Potato Museum

Idaho Potato Museum

Ah Blackfoot, Idaho...or the land of carbs as I like to call it. Perhaps you've never considered a vacation to Idaho, "Nothing to see there" you mutter to yourself as you scan flights to Cancun and literally anywhere else. That's where I'd have to say you're wrong! We took a week to see Idaho and Grand Teton National Park and I was truly surprised!

Blackfoot ID dog park

We parked our rig at the Blackfoot RV park which conveniently had a dog park right next door and a small lake to entertain us in the evenings. The Blackfoot Potato Museum was a mere 6 minute motorcycle ride away AND (stay with me) they had a potato cafe connected! For real I don't know about you but I love quirky museums. Admission is only $6 so why not go and see what you learn?

Museum of Clean Pocatello ID

Museum of Clean Pocatello ID

If your getting into your quirky museum visiting vibes, hightail it down the road to Pocatello, ID and check out the museum of clean. A renovated MASSIVE warehouse full of all the cleaning appliances you could imagine from the last hundred years and Don Aslett himself. The man of cleanliness.

Idaho Falls, ID

Idaho Falls, ID

Idaho Falls, ID was a short drive up the road from Blackfoot, ID and host to a beautiful river walk and Japanese garden. We took the motorcycle up to visit and enjoyed a cool afternoon walk. An older gentleman stopped to talk to us about his old Triumph motorcycle, which is always fun. I like the friendliness within the motorcycle community.

A quick family trip might not be out of reach after all! Get out there and make some memories, folks!
